It´s Xmas time again and luckily I had some time to make Xmas cookies. Maybe you want to try out these recipes as well. :)

The first recipe that I made this year were Vanillekiperl (vanilla crescent cookies).

For those you need:  

560 g flour

160 g sugar

400 g margarine

200 g crushed hazelnuts

4 packages of vanilla sugar

4 drops of vanilla flavor

Decoration:

100g icing sugar

dark couverture (optional)

You can also use half of the amount, because you will get a lot of cookies out of it :)

For the WGT 2015 I made my own steampunk hat.  Since I am creating a new steampunk outfit at the moment, I needed a new hat as well. And maybe some of you want to make one on your own as well:)

These are the things that you will need:

- a camping mat out of foam rubber for the main part of the hat

-  a pen, a ruler, tape, scissors and a geometry compass.

- some sheets of paper and a measurement band

- for this type of steampunk hat you also require some textile (I choose a brown color)

- some things to decorate it like an old clockwork, buttons and parts of an old curtain

- a hot glue gun

For the hat I wore at the WGT I used foam sheets to make the little metal plates and painted the hat first black and then with bronze color.

Last autumn my friend asked me whether I would go with her to Wacken Open Air (the biggest metal festival in the world). Before she asked me I never considered going there – because I was told it was too big and too commercial. But once she asked me, I was very excited to go. At least one time to see how it is really like.

And it was definitely worth it. Yes it is very big, yes it is pretty commercial. But the line up and  the people there are just amazing. And for a festival that has 120.000 people there you just need a very professional organization.

I went to a Ost+Front Concert in Dresden yesterday. The concert was really good. The "Bunker" was pretty full but not too crowded so that you still could move and dance. The location had a nice sound as well. The stage show was good. Nothing extraordinary, but I go to concerts anysways for the music and dancing.

Working at the moment on a couple of outfit for the WGT:)

This is for my Steampunk outfit for the Victorian Picnic.

I am already looking forward to the festival. Meeting many of my friends, dancing, wearing nice outfits and watching the outfits from other people. Of course I will take my camera with me again and take lots of picture and also film a lot.

Since it is rhubarb time in Germany at the moment I decided to make a rhubarb cake today. And it turned out really well. Maybe you want to try it out yourself. =)

This cake consists of 4 layers: a yeast dough, vanilla pudding, rhubarb and crumble.

Ingredients

Dough:

250 g flour (wheat flour)
40 g margarine (that´s good for baking)
40 g sugar

1 package of vanila sugar
1 pinch of salt
1/2 package of dry yeast
200 ml soy milk

1 package of vanilla sugar

I am working on a new video, this time with a more serious topic again. Hopefully I can finish it in the next couple days, so that I can then concentrate on my WGT preperations. I still need to get some parts of my outfits done . But I am already looking forward to the festival:)

Somehow I am having a little more photoshootings at the moment...and I am enjoying it a lot:)

Two weeks ago I had a nice shooting with Christian Plath Photography. Here you can see now some of the pictures.

It was a lovely day, even so it was a little cold outside. And sometimes the sun annoyed as a little - because she appeard and vanish and therefore made the lightening for the photos more difficult.

But I really, really love the outcome. The pictures are just awesome.

Especially nice going to the café afterwards - warming up with a hot cappuchino.

A had an awesome photoshooting on Monday with Haenson Photography. Here is one of the first pictures. You can find already some more on his website. :)

The weather outside was awefull - something between snow and rain. But the shooting itself was really nice. We had a big studio with different backgrounds and experimented a lot with them, the outfit and different poses.

Looking forward to shoot with Haeson again.

Industrial  dance (ID) is a dance primarily danced to industrial music, EBM, hardstyle, noise, that has roots in the gothics clubs of Europe (Germany) and USA in the late 1990´s, early 2000. The exact date/origin is unknown. Industrial dance videos become popluar online around 2009 (YouTube).

 The main elements of industrial dance include “arm movements”, kicks, spins and "Footwork".  ID  is often improvisational in nature and emphasizes on fast and complex arm-orientated movements combined with hip movements, as well as footwork.

The dance moves are practiced until they can be used intuitive in freestyle. But there are a couple of dance crew that also make choreographies.

There are different styles of industrial:

-         "USA": more leg movement and spinning while the rest of the world uses more arms

-          Hard, "chop-style"

-          Softer, more like belly dance

Industrial Dancer can be found in goth or techno/hardstyle clubs, festivals and online (YouTube).

The main countries in which Industrial Dance can be found are: Germany, Mexico, UK, USA, Russia and other parts of the world.
