A very tasty plum cake that I made a couple days ago=)

If you want to try it out yourself: here is the recipe.^^

This cake consists of 4 layers: a yeast dough, vanilla pudding, damson plums and crumble.

Ingredients

Dough:

500 g flour (wheat flour)
60 g butter
70 g sugar
1 pinch of salt
1 package of dry yeast
200 ml milk
1 egg

1 package of vanilla sugar

Pudding:

1 package of pudding powder

500 ml of milk

2 packages of vanilla sugar

24g sugar

1kg of damson plums

Crumble:

275 g flour
175 g butter
150 g sugar
1 pack. vanilla sugar
1 pinch of salt

First off all prepare the dough. While it is resting in a warm place, prepare the pudding, the plumbs and the crumble.

For the dough:

1) Put the "dry ingredients" together in a big bowl (flour, sugar, vanila sugar, salt)

2) Melt the butter in a cooking pot with low temperature and later on put the milk into it too, so that it becomes lukewarm.

3) Make a hole in the center and put all the "wet ingredients" into it (milk, butter, eggs).

4) Put the dry yeast and a pinch of sugar in the middle of the hole, into the wet ingredients as well and let the yeast "work" for 10 minutes.

5) Mix all the ingredients and the knead the dough very well.

6) Let the dough rest for about an hour somewhere warm.

This is the second part of how to make your own hairpiece. In this blog I will explain how to craft some foamies that can go into your hairpiece as well (like in my picture on the left^^)

Foam sheets

Scissors, glue, stapler, pencils, pens...in any stationery shop close by :)

I decided to make some steampunk-like foamies in brown and white. For more cyber looking once you can take other colors like black and blue/ blue and white....

First: mark the foam sheet on both ends with little dots that are in the distance of your desired width - I usually make my foamies about 2cm wide.

Afterwards connect the dots with thin lines so that you can cut the foamies in a straight line.

Cut the foam sheet. Mark and cut another foam sheet in another color you want to combine with the first one.

Make a loop with one of the foam sheets straps, while keeping the other one straight. Take both ends of the looped strap and glue it to one end of the straight strap.

After some time it was Creatures of the Night again - actually the only real "black party" you can go to in Würzburg. There are definitly a lot better goth parties in other cities, but the music was pretty good, drink prices are OK and I enjoyed the dancing a lot. The location - a ship - is also nice. Unfortunatelly I will have to wait until to November until it will be again.

...just come back from a short trip to the Netherlands. It´s a very beautiful country. But I am glad to be home again now. So there will be hopefully some time on the weekend to edit a little on a new video again:)

...and they have some beautiful old cars there as well^^...I love cars. Especially the oldtimers.

Since I did get asked quite a lot of times how I make my hairpieces, I decided explain it in detail for everyone who is interested.

First of all the materials you need (I linked them to amazon, but you can get them from other places as well:

Synthetic dreads (4 packages)

Rexlace Plastic Lacing

Crin Black

 Crin Blue

Knitting wool

Hair ties: (at least 4)

...and scissors:)

When we have all the materials assembled, we can get started :)

First you got to take the synthetic dreads - 2 packages for each hairpiece. I usally wear 2 hairpiece, one on the left and one on the right side (which makes 4 packages of synthetic dreads). Lay the dreads down and mark the half lenght of them.

Then tie the dreads with some plastic lacing in the middle together.

Afterwards you can add some wool. Synthetic dreads are pretty heavy, while wool is really light. Combining the dreads with black wool gives your hairpiece more volumes without making it to heavy.

Today I made yeast dumplings - a tradition german food that you can eat for example with blueberries and custard.

It was the first time I made it, but it turned out really great. (We all had little bit to much of it^^)

Ingredients:

500g flour

1 pinch of salt

1 pack of dry yeast

250 ml milk
100 g of butter
100 g of sugar

2 packs of vanilla sugar
2 egg (s)

(tinned blueberries / vanilla sauce)

In the first step mix all the dry ingredients (besides the yeast) well together in a big bowl.

Then make a little mole in the middle.

Next melt the butter and make the milk lukewarm. But the butter, the milk, the eggs, a little bit of sugar and the yeast into the mole and mix them slightly (without mixing them with the dry ingredients).

After 15 minutes mix everything together and knead the dough very well.

Then let the dough rest in a warm place for 1 hour and cover it with a dishcloth.

After 1 hour knead the dough again and add some flour if necessary until the dough is soft and not sticky anymore.

Then make little rolls out of it, sit them on a dishcloth that is dusted with flour and put another dishcloth over them (dusted with flour as well). Wait until the rolls got bigger.

Fill a cooking pot with water and cover it with a dishcloth. Fix the dishcloth with a big rubber band to the pot. Then put the yeast dumplings onto it. Cover everything with a lid. Damp the dumplings for about 15 - 20 minutes. Check with a split whether they are done - if no dough is on the split anymore.

Serve the yeast dumplings when they are still hot with tinned blueberries (and optional with vanilla sauce).

I had an awesome photoshooting this weekend. Even so the beginning looked bad - it rained cats and dogs when I drove to the photo-studio from Pure Desire. But then I arrived in a really nice studio with a beautiful bathroom where I could put my outfit on. And there was a really nice assistance too how help with the entire shooting (my respect for her patience!^^).

Then we drove to the bad-weather back-up location...which was just for this weekend closed. So we decided to go back to plan A and try our luck. First it rained a little again. But when we finally arrived at the location - a small old house in a park - it didn´t rain again for the entire time.

The shooting was done by using infrared light. Not many photographer do that. But the photographer from Pure Desire is using it and he is a really really good at it. I simply love the pictures! They are my new favorites...

A couple of days ago I had a nice "little" shooting with Giorgio. It was planned to be a short shooting after work but it was so much fun and we both had many ideas so that instead of "quick-and-dirty" the shooting took a couple of hours.

And the pictures turned out very beautiful in my opinion :) The only set-back was that apparently my make-up didn´t survive the WGT - the heat in the tent was to bad...

I also worked again a little more on my steampunk outfit. Personally I think it looks a lot better now then the first try. I am not sure so how people like it who usually only see me in gothic outfits...But I like steampunk a lot too.

I am back from the WGT festival. And it was just great. (Picture from the WGT 2014)

We arrived on Wednesday evening and slept over at a friends house. On Thursday we got up pretty early to get into the queue for the camping ground. Since we are always a group of about 20 people who are camping together we need enough space to build all our tents together in one place. Thursday all all about setting up the tents, bringen stuff from the car to the camp ground and going grocery shopping. In the evening we went to the Agra to dance a little.

On Fridays was the frist proper day of the festival. I tried out frist steampunk outfit (i still got to improve that a lot) and went to the Victorian Picnic. It was great to see all the customes. In the evening we went to see Hocico, Rotersand and [SITD]. The concert was great, only too bad that [SITD] destoryed one of the subwoffers. But all of the bands had good music and a nice show.

On Saturday we went to see the AMI. An fair for cars. The enterence was free for WGT festivalgoers and I like cars. I got to sit into a Tesla and saw some Audi´s and BMW´s. Later on I had a camera team following me around, asking about the festival. Because the driving with the public transport was so long to the AMI we didn´t make it to any concerts that day, but that wasn´t really a problem. It was really, really hot this year and we were happy that the AMI halls had cooling.

In the evening we went again to the Agra to dance a little. Unfortunatelly the DJ was really bad, so that I couldn´t dance as long as I wanted.

Sunday was again just hot. That was the only real set-back this year. You just couldn´t slept longer than 8 a.m. because then the tents would just get way to warm. We went to a concert in the Täubchenthal. Since it started pretty early we didn´t really do much beforehand. Only got some ice-coffe to cold down a little. First play D-Tox, a band from Sweden. Their music was Ok (it´s just not my type of music so much), but they were really good entertainers - with made but for everything. Next was Nano Infect. For me the best band of the evening. I didn´t know them before but I had to get their CD after the concert. They have great music. FabrikC was also good. Great for dancing. After that we had to get out and skip a band to get some food. Than we went back to see Extize. They really did know how to entertain the crowd. In the end XOTOX was playing. I knew beforehand that their music wasn´t so much what I like. It was really good and way to loud. Therefore we went after a couple of songs. But still it was a great evening with many good bands and loads of dancing.

This is one of my favorit pictures of me and my one of my best friends. It was actually an outtake picture from a fotoshooting we made together. But I simply love it, so I thought I might share it with you:)

Creating a huge mess while packing for the WGT festival...I also made some new hair pieces. Looking forward to wear them.:)

It was a long weekend with a lot of filming for Sabselol´s new video project. But we got some awesome film material - also thank to our camera-man from Firstshoot Photography :) Now I have to wait for her to edit the video. But I think it will be really great!...but I won´t tell what it will be about...I don´t want to spoiler. ^^

There is a new community dance video from dancers from "das Klub" I am participating in. I was acctually not sure whether I would have the time to make a video, but I really wanted to take part. So I took a day off from work to dance and film. There are many great dancers to be seen. Unfortunatelly very one gets only a couple of seconds (because there where many). But it gives you a nice overview over the dancer community and the possiblity to discover new dancers you didn´t really notice jet. The project was lead by JavaxChaos and R4ND0MN355 and is to the song "can you feel the beat" by Nachtmahr.

Me  and Sabselol (Quaestitia) at the party yesterday. It was a really good night. Unfortunatelly Sabselol was a little tired so we couldn´t dance that long. But we had fun and the music was good. Today we went on a sightseeing trip and had some tasty ice-creme. Now I am the one that pretty sleepy already...^^

It has been a long week so far. Looking forward towards the weekend.

This is definitly one of my most favorit videos i made so far. We are going to a party on friday and then chat a lot - since we didn´t see for quite a long time.

Today I had an awesome video shooting with the dance group Shockwave.

It was a lot of fun to shoot with them, even so it was very, very windy and pretty cold. Had to drink a lot of hot cappuchino too keep at least a little warm. Looking forward too see the finished video (they are going to edit it). Now we are relaxing a little and then we will go out tonight together.
